A great day for families and friends of the Chesapeake Bay

Many free demonstrations, kids activities, live music and more!
Bring the whole family!
About The Event

Bay Day is a great way to spend the day with your family. The day will offer ongoing entertainment with lots to do, see, learn and play with, including Phillips Wharf's touch-tank introductions to resident Bay critters and many tanks for viewing that include turtles and horseshoe crabs to fish and seahorses.

There will be try-it- yourself exhibits like oyster tonging and netmaking as well as kids crafts, face painting and more.

Stop by our community garden area and check out a hands-on demonstration that delves into how our fields, gardens and rain interact with the bay. Learn something new about starting your own garden or about our new aquaponics system.

Visit Phillips Wharf's oyster aquaculture operation, take a tour and get a taste of how they’re doing. Plus, Bay- related fine handcrafts and fun gift items will be offered by artisans, from model boats to carved seabirds, jewelry, gifts, whimsical bird houses and sea-glass.
