Big News!

We are thrilled to announce that the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center has been awarded a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) B-WET grant! This grant is providing funding to bring back our 4th grade oyster program as a Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience. Through this funding, all 4th grade students in Talbot County Public Schools will learn about oysters in the Chesapeake Bay, visit Phillips Wharf for a field experience, and develop their own action project to support a healthy oyster population and the Chesapeake Bay.

As part of this funding, we are hiring a temporary Educator for the fall. We are looking for someone to work through the end of November, approximately 20 to 30 hours per week. For more information about this position, click here or click the ‘We’re Hiring’ link in the menu at the top of the page.
