Perdue Teams with Phillips Wharf

The Fishmobile Rides Again!

Through a unique partnership with CBS EcoMedia, Perdue has addressed a critical need in the Chesapeake Bay by supporting local nonprofit Phillips Wharf Environmental Center’s Fishmobile program. The Fishmobile program travels to schools and events throughout the region to provide a 50-minute structured environmental education program to children all year long. Perdue funding is supporting the customization and retrofitting of Phillips Wharf’s new Fishmobile.

The partnership was announced during Bay Day 2015, a Phillips Wharf Environmental Center-led environmental education festival featuring information and perspectives on a full range of Bay topics, including living shorelines, native gardening, rain gardens, oyster restoration, energy alternatives and environmental stewardship.

Since its launch in 2015, the new, handicap accessible, bright new Fishmobile has been all over the state delighting children and adults of all ages. On instagram: #followthefishmobile.
