Sustainable Living Workshop Series

What to expect:

  • Events at the Waterfowl Building will include complementary wine for guests ages 21 and over courtesy of the Waterfowl Festival. Join us from 5:00 to 5:15 to grab a drink and chat before the talk begins at 5:15 pm.
  • Oysters and the Chesapeake at Phillips Wharf will hopefully include shucked to order local aquaculture oysters (dependent on farmer availability).
  • Pollinator Gardens at both the Waterfowl Building an Phillips Wharf will include a free native plant for you to take home and get your garden started.
  • Composting 101 will include a guest speaker from New Grounds Composting, a local operation that can help you get started with composting no matter how much space you have at home. As part of this program, they will be offering a free trial of their services.
  • Native and Invasive Species will involve a walk around Easton Point Park, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
  • Watersheds 101 at the St. Michaels Community Center will get us thinking about the impact of stormwater runoff in our own neighborhoods and will include a free native plant to take home to help you manage stormwater in your yard.
